Sometimes, the answers might not be obvious in a routine health check-up. This is where ayurveda and Nadi Pariksha (Pulse Diagnosis). Can offer a different perspective – helping assess the subtle balance of your body, mind, agni and prana.

That exhaustion that just can’t seem to be cured by rest or sleep. That unreliability of your mind that shows up by the afternoon. That awkward sensation that something within you doesn’t feel quite right, even if every time you went to see your doctor and had them check up on you, their report said that everything was still fine.

If you are nodding in agreement, just inhale very deeply. You are not hallucinating.

You are not the only one in this situation.

Many patients of Vedang Clinic have done everything supposedly “right.” Thyroid testing, iron and hormonal tests – everything seems to be alright yet you still being lost.

The Beautiful Gap That Modern Testing Was Designed Not to Tackle

A blood test is a great thing — it cannot but detect that which has gone *wrong*. But it was not designed to pick up the subtler dialogues taking place underneath: the emotional burden you have been carrying along, the imbalance that has been in the making for decades, the tale your body has been striving to share.

With over 20 years of experience, I have over 2,000 Nadi Parikshas to my credit and the privilege to be engaged in such processes on a regular basis. One arrives with a report in hand and is really perplexed by their fatigue experienced in the present times. And I just need several minutes of pulse reading to realize that they have other issues to deal with.

This is the gap that we fill together. I must confess that this is one of the most gratifying things I am involved with.

What Your Pulse (Nadi Pariksha) Tells You That Your Medical Test Does Not

Ayurvedic medicine starts its inquiry with a very different question – not “What is wrong?” but instead “Are you balanced in body, mind, and spirit?”

This inquiry comes from a much older paradigm that looks at a human being as a whole, pulsating consciousness rather than a collection of organs that can all be ticked off a checklist. The modern medical system has never been trained to recognize this model, but Ayurveda has been paying attention to it for ages.

Through Nadi Pariksha, this ancient art of pulse diagnosis, we learn to listen for signals that no instrument will be able to catch. Your pulse never lies and never forgets. It carries information about every instance where you succeeded and failed in your life. In the moment when I touch a patient’s wrist, I am not just taking measurements but meeting another being.

This technique will allow us to reveal:

* The state of the health of your organs and their functional efficiency in the form of their energy

* The feelings hidden inside your body — feelings of sadness that are settled into your chest, the anxiety that is twisting in your stomach, the consciousness of which you may never have been aware but have been put away somewhere within you.

* The signs of changes that are too subtle to realise before they develop into something great beyond what any tests can measure.

* The answers on why you feel that way — not a list of symptoms but the real story that your soul tries to tell to you through your body and what your body is eager to communicate to you.

A blood test manages to give you a watery, frozen, two-dimensional version of you, while a pulse tells the whole story about you which includes feelings and emotions. It is very touching to be truly *seen* for the first time in a long time. Quite a few patients tell me that this moment has been their first experience of being understood for what has been hurting them for years, and of being approachable enough to talk about it.

It’s time to stop thinking of “normal” as the ultimate destination in life.

Here is a thought you can celebrate: You can always desire something more than merely “normal.” After all, “normal” is merely a statistic of how many people — out of millions — were able to achieve what “normal” means. It does not mean that you, in particular, are doing well. In fact, it does not mean anything about your happiness, your relaxation, or the level of fulfilment in your life.

You are not a statistical probability. You are not an average person. You are a complete universe of body, soul, and mind, and you should never settle for just surviving.

I love telling my patients that very thing, especially to those who have been examined by multiple specialists, who have folders full of “okay” results and feel guilty that they are not feeling fine. Fatigue is not a sign of weakness. Foggy feelings in your head could not possibly mean laziness. The notion of something being wrong with you is meaningful information; it is the message that your body has been trying to tell you for such a long time.

So, Where to Start? (I assure you it is easier than you think)

If this describes you now — normal reports but your body is asking for something more — the journey starts here:

  1. Get a Nadi Pariksha done. Only about 45-60 minutes and it may turn out to be the start of everything making sense.
  2. Observe your rhythm and not just your plate. In Ayurveda, the when is as significant as the what.
  3. Do not wait for a diagnosis to start your healing process. The earlier you catch an imbalance the easier — and generally quicker — the approach towards getting back to feeling like yourself.
  4. Ask for personalised recommendations. What works for one person may cause discomfort to another. You deserve adequate care based on your unique constitution rather than a generic to-do list.

You Are Perfectly OK, You just need Balance, it’s a solution anyway

If you ever felt that beneath the “everything is good” there are some concerns, believe it. This has brought you exactly to this point.

The self-diagnosis and modern medicine were never designed to compete with each other. One tells you when is the time for serious problems; the other explains you in detail why you are not yet in trouble.

This is the type of conversation we have at our Vedang clinic every day. We will be happy to assist you in listening to what your body is trying to tell you.
